GIF PROJECT
For my GIF project I decided to animate the game BANANAGRAMS. I have a total of seven images which display the banana peeling, spelling out the word peel, and than closing back up.
To do this, I put my digital camera on a tripod and, as carefully as I could, went through the motions of my animation, taking a picture after each movement.
For my tinted GIF, I decided to use the colors which represent the different stages bananas go through...green-yellow-brown. I used various highlighter shades of these colors because i liked the contrast between the dark shadows and the florescent colors.
For my stylized GIF, I decided to use the "Cut-out" effect because I thought it was really interesting looking, and I liked how my entire images turned brown and yellow. I also played with the time each picture stays on the screen. It ranges from .1 second to 3 seconds. I did this because I liked how the motion slowed down while opening and speed up while closing.
